product & solutions
we currently offer three certified LED platform families designed for different lighting applications:
Cattail – Portable rechargeable LED platform
Cattail is a self-contained rechargeable lighting module that combines the LED, battery, charging system, power management, and protection electronics within one standardized unit.
It is available in four sizes and is designed for indoor cordless table and floor-lighting applications. It includes magnetic charging and three-step touch dimming.
Bamboo – Modular 24V LED platform
Bamboo is a scalable 24V lighting platform based on a standardized Ø35 mm mechanical and electrical interface.
The system supports configurable lengths and power levels, replaceable components, external power supplies, and gesture or touch-control interfaces. It is intended for suspension, floor, and table-lighting applications.
Sunflower – Integrated structural lighting core
Sunflower combines the mechanical connection and optical light engine within one integrated lighting core.
It provides soft, uniform 360-degree illumination and can support wall, ceiling, suspension, table, and floor-lighting applications. Driver, control, and programming options depend on the selected project configuration.
A certified LED platform is a pre-certified, technically validated LED system that has already undergone rigorous testing and compliance processes. By using our certified cores, you significantly reduce the engineering work, testing requirements, time, and costs typically involved in developing lighting products from scratch.
Available options depend on the selected platform and project requirements.

While each platform is designed as an independent system, they share common design language and technical philosophy. Many brands use different Infilumen platforms across their product portfolio, for example, bamboo for modular architectural lighting, cattail for portable table lamps, and sunflower for fixed wall/ceiling applications.
However, the platforms are not mechanically compatible with each other (e.g., you cannot connect a cattail unit to a bamboo configuration). Each platform maintains its own mechanical interface standard to ensure optimal performance and certification compliance.
certifications
We are working to ensure our platforms meet requirements for major global markets including Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and other regions.
When you use one of our certified cores, you eliminate a significant portion of the testing and certification work. While your final luminaire design still requires certification (depending on materials and design), the core LED system has already been tested and approved.
Potential benefits include:
- Less development work for LED selection and electrical architecture
- A more clearly defined thermal and mechanical starting point
- Reduced integration complexity
- Access to existing technical documentation
- A narrower scope for certain testing activities
- Faster identification of technical or compliance risks
The exact savings depend on your final design, materials, and target markets, but our approach removes much of the technical risk and complexity.
This depends on your final luminaire design, materials used, and target markets. Generally, you'll need testing for:
- Final assembly and enclosure safety
- Any additional electrical components you add
- Thermal performance of the complete luminaire
working with infilumen
The process typically follows these steps:
- Discovery conversation – We learn about your needs, roadmap, and technical requirements
- Feasibility assessment – We determine if our platforms suit your design concept
- Sample exploration – You can explore physical samples to understand the system
- Project development – We provide technical support as you develop your design
Yes. Physical samples can be provided to help you evaluate the light quality, controls, dimensions, finishes, and integration possibilities.
Samples are generally charged to cover the product, preparation, handling, and related support. Shipping, taxes, customs charges, and other delivery costs are normally charged separately.
Where agreed in the quotation, some or all of the sample cost may be credited against a qualifying production order.
Sample type, availability, lead time, price, credit conditions, and return requirements are confirmed before the order is placed.
Samples can be requested through our contact page or by emailing info@infinitylumen.com.
This is exactly where we can help. Many furniture and design brands hesitate to enter lighting because it introduces electronics, certification, thermal performance, and serviceability challenges.
Our certified LED platforms allow you to:
- Explore lighting without building full internal infrastructure
- Test the category with manageable risk
- Focus on design while we handle the technical core
- Scale gradually from a pilot product to a full collection
We're experienced at helping non-lighting brands navigate this transition.

We discuss pricing during the discovery phase once we understand your specific requirements.
An order with Infilumen can be placed for as little as one unit, making it accessible to everyone. During our initial conversations, we can discuss the most suitable order quantity based on your needs.
Lead times depend on:
- Platform selection
- Order quantity
- Current production schedule
- Shipping destination
We provide specific timelines once we understand your project scope and requirements.
Sample and prototype orders normally require payment before production or dispatch.
Payment terms for production orders depend on the order value, project stage, quantities, customer relationship, and commercial risk assessment.
The quotation or order confirmation specifies:
- Payment schedule
- Currency
- Deposit requirements
- Balance-payment timing
- Shipping terms
- Validity period
- Any project-specific commercial conditions
product development & design
We can provide guidance on how our platform could fit within the proposed design and we are available to answer questions during the early stages of a project. This is especially valuable when pitching concepts to clients or planning new product launches. Please note that our support is focused on the application of our platform.
Our platform is built around flexible, standardized, and certified components that can be configured for a wide range of applications. To maintain consistent quality, reliability, and compliance, we generally do not develop or certify fully custom components.
During the discovery phase, we can help assess what is possible within our existing platform architecture and identify the most suitable standardized configuration for your project. Any components outside the scope of our platform would need to be developed and certified by the relevant third party.
Our platforms are designed to be adaptable rather than prescriptive. They provide the technical core while giving you freedom to create the visual design, material language, and aesthetic identity that fits your brand.
collaborations
Absolutely. We value relationships with independent designers and studios who can identify opportunities with their brand clients. If our platforms can support a project you're working on, we're happy to collaborate and can structure appropriate partnerships.
We attend selected design fairs, lighting events, and industry meetings where we can connect with brands, designers, manufacturers, and development partners.
Our event schedule changes throughout the year. Contact us or follow our official channels for confirmed information about upcoming events and appointments.
We treat all client projects and design concepts with confidentiality. For strategic projects or early-stage development, we can formalize confidentiality agreements to protect your intellectual property and design work.
technical support
We provide technical documentation including:
- 3D files for platform integration
- Technical specifications and performance data
- Integration guidelines
- Certification documentation
- Assembly and installation guidance
Documentation is shared once we're engaged in a project together.
We prefer to start with a discovery conversation to understand your specific needs before sharing detailed product information. This ensures we provide relevant, accurate, and project-specific technical details rather than generic materials that may not apply to your situation.
We provide ongoing technical support throughout your project. If challenges arise during development, integration, testing, or production, we work with you to resolve them. Our goal is to be a reliable technical partner, not just a supplier.
The brand selling the finished luminaire normally remains responsible for end-customer service, warranty communication, returns, installation support, and replacement of the complete product.
Infilumen can provide platform-level support to the brand or manufacturer when an issue may relate to a supplied Infilumen component.
This may include:
- Technical troubleshooting
- Component traceability
- Platform-level failure analysis
- Replacement components where covered by the applicable warranty
- Guidance for approved module replacement
- Information about product revisions or component changes
Warranty duration, exclusions, return procedures, replacement terms, and spare-component availability are defined in the relevant quotation, supply agreement, or warranty policy.
